About this episode
Dealerships sit on years of customer, purchase, service and equipment data. They know who bought what, whose warranty is running out and who hasn’t been in for service. Turning that into a campaign usually means exports, spreadsheets and hours of manual work.
Brandon Weaver builds a Smart Campaign from start to finish: a plain-English audience search, an AI-written message, a review before anything sends and replies that become leads. For owners, sales managers and service managers who want more repeat business.
What you’ll hear
- Your data is the advantage. You already know what customers own, what they bought and when they were last in.
- Find the audience in plain English. Ask for customers who own a machine but haven’t been in for service in three months, then narrow it by brand or area code.
- Let AI draft the message. Describe the offer and Smart Campaigns writes a personalized text, or reuse a template that worked before.
- You stay in control. An AI review checks each message, you can text yourself a test, and you choose when it sends.
- Replies become leads. AI sends a quick acknowledgement, then a lead goes to your team to take it from there.

The conversation, section by section
Getting to the right customer. With the right message. At the right time. Every time.
Jenny Moebius, host of Flyntlok Unlocked
Equipment dealerships have years of valuable customer data at their fingertips. They know who purchased a machine, what equipment customers own, when warranties are close to expiring, which customers haven’t returned for service and which models or attachments may interest them next. Having that data and using it are two different things.
Why dealership customer data so often goes unused
Without a connected tool, a targeted campaign means exporting reports, cross-referencing purchase and service records, building spreadsheets and picking customers by hand, with information split between the DMS, a separate CRM and other systems.
The right customer, the right message, the right time
Brandon describes Smart Campaigns as a way to use your own data to bring customers back through the door. AI finds a precise audience and writes a relevant message for it, and the campaign can create opportunities across service, parts and sales.
Building a targeted audience with AI
Smart Campaigns sits in Flyntlok’s CRM menu, with a dashboard of campaigns, messages sent, response rate, leads generated, lead ratings and audience reached. Brandon starts with a service goal and types the audience in plain language: customers who own a machine but haven’t been in for service in three months. He narrows it to Bobcat owners, then to customers with an Alaska phone number, and gets a new list in seconds.
Creating a relevant campaign message
Employees can reuse a template from a campaign that worked or ask AI for a new message. Brandon asks for 10% off service for customers’ machines this summer, and Smart Campaigns writes a complete, personalized text with the customer’s first name, the employee’s name, the dealership’s name, the customer’s machine model and the offer. A phone preview shows exactly how it will look.
Keeping the dealership in control
An AI review checks every outgoing message for problems like grammar or repeated details. In the demo it catches the machine model showing up twice and suggests a fix. You can text yourself a test, send now or schedule for later, and Flyntlok confirms how many messages will go out before anything sends.
Turning a customer response into a revenue workflow
When Jenny replies that she’s interested, AI sends an immediate acknowledgement saying someone from the dealership will reach out to schedule service. Then the reply becomes a lead in Flyntlok, named with the customer, machine and promotion, and a person takes over the conversation. Smart Campaigns isn’t meant to replace the relationship with an AI chat.
Practical campaigns dealers can try
Seasonal service promotions, winter specials for slow months, warranty expiration reminders, trade-in and upgrade offers, attachment and accessory offers, outreach to inactive service customers, follow-up after a recent purchase and rental customer outreach.
Making the data you already have more valuable
Smart Campaigns isn’t about sending more texts. It’s about making what you already know about your customers useful: what they own, what they bought, how their machines were serviced, when they last visited and what they may need next.
