A fast-growing SANY dealer replaced a rigid legacy ERP with connected dealership operations, a Sage Intacct integration, and practical AI for service and warranty work.

"We don't want to relive life before Flyntlok."
- Cody Savell, Director of Operations, TraxPlus

From a tent to a five-location SANY dealership

TraxPlus began in 2013 as a used-equipment sales operation, buying machines at auction and wholesaling for other dealers. A few years later, the company had the opportunity to become a SANY dealer. At the time, it did not even have a shop - just a tent that gave the team some shade.

From those beginnings, TraxPlus has grown to five locations: Hickory and Hattiesburg, Mississippi; Birmingham and Huntsville, Alabama; and Alexandria, Louisiana. Its approximately 60 employees serve construction, forestry, and right-of-way clearing customers across the region.

Becoming a SANY dealer changed the shape of the business. New-equipment sales created larger opportunities in parts and service, which became the foundation for growth and customer satisfaction. A parts operation that began in a 10-by-14-foot shed now carries roughly $5 million in inventory, while rental has become an increasingly important part of the model.

"We've grown from those early, humble beginnings into what we have today."
- Chris Weems, Dealer Principal and Owner, TraxPlus

When growth outpaced the system underneath it

By the time Cody Savell joined TraxPlus, the dealership had been running its former DMS for about five years. He spent his first week in training, but later realized that much of the team's day-to-day work did not align with how the system was designed to be used. Support interactions became contentious, and the system was not changing at the pace the dealership needed.

That mismatch was visible everywhere. New employees faced a steep learning curve. Quotes and invoices were inflexible. When Cody stepped into service, TraxPlus had more than 300 open repair orders, but no practical way to track them by status, attach pictures, or keep the details of each job inside the work order. To understand what was happening, he had to ask technicians one by one.

The same friction affected parts and sales. Corrections and refunds could consume hours, slowing the dealership's ability to collect money. As TraxPlus added locations and expanded rental, the limits became more consequential: the company needed a platform that could support the way it was growing.

"We were looking for somebody that could grow with us."
- Cody Savell, Director of Operations

Dealer-built operations, connected to Sage Intacct

The requirements were clear: one integrated, cloud-based platform; a strong rental system; configurable work-order processes; ease of use; and an approach that would also work for the accounting team.

The Flyntlok and Sage Intacct integration gave TraxPlus the best of both worlds. Flyntlok serves as the purpose-built dealership operating system for equipment, inventory, work orders, and rental; while Sage Intacct provides a best-in-class financial platform for the general ledger, consolidated reporting, and accounting controls.

Operations and finance each get best-in-class software designed for their needs, without forcing either side of the business to compromise.

“The reality is, Flyntlok is the operating system, and they do it well. For people like me, it’s huge. For accounting, it integrates so well and the accounting team would much rather have a true accounting system. So, you get the best of both worlds.”- Cody Savell, Director of Operations

Flyntlok also stood out because it was built inside an equipment dealership by dealer principal Sean McLaughlin. That context gave Cody confidence that the team understood dealer workflows; and meant TraxPlus did not have to redesign its business around generic ERP software.

A smoother implementation, and confidence from day one

Asked how quickly employees became comfortable with Flyntlok, Cody's answer was immediate: "Day one." That mattered in a company where growth requires bringing new employees into sales, parts, service, and rental workflows without months of system friction.

Chris Weems had heard other dealers describe ERP implementations as frustrating and disruptive. TraxPlus experienced the opposite. He credits a combination of preparation by Cody and both teams, software that is easy to learn, and a product built with the nuances of an equipment dealership in mind.

The result was a transition Chris describes as about as smooth as the company could have asked for - an especially meaningful outcome because, as he noted, no one enjoys changing systems.

"For our implementation to go as smooth and as quick as it has gone, I could not be more satisfied."
- Chris Weems, Dealer Principal and Owner

Trusted machine visibility across five locations

Before Flyntlok, leaders could see numbers and dates in the system, but they did not fully trust the data. Even after looking up a machine, someone often called the physical location to confirm its configuration and condition.

Flyntlok gives the management team a richer, more dependable machine record. Leaders can review financial information, work-order history, dates, and current photos. An employee standing beside an excavator can upload a picture from a phone, making it easy to confirm whether the machine has a quick coupler, thumb, bucket, or other attachment. Photos help TraxPlus catch discrepancies between a machine’s actual attachments, its system record and its pricing, not merely answer customer questions faster.

For a dealership spread across three states, that replaces a surprising amount of back-and-forth. A salesperson no longer needs someone two states away to run outside and send a photo before answering a customer. The team can respond faster - with information it trusts.

“When you have a picture of the physical machine, the data in there may say that it has a bucket on it and the picture doesn’t show a bucket—or vice versa. That’s where, on the sales side, we’ve been able to see a tremendous amount of improvement.”
- Chris Weems, Dealer Principal and Owner

Faster parts movement and easier service transactions

Flyntlok has also improved how parts move between locations. Instead of ordering a new part without realizing another branch already has it, employees can see availability, submit a transfer request, and retain documentation of the move.

Cody describes the change as a "revitalization" of parts movement across the company. For employees on the ground, it means making better use of inventory already on hand and getting parts to customers faster.

“That transaction could be a monetary transaction, or it could just be a move—it’s whatever you’re doing in Flyntlok. The speed at which you get what you’re looking for, or are able to get the answer, is greatly improved in all aspects.”- Cody Savell, Director of Operations

Daily transactions are easier, too. Employees can create work orders and jobs, accept payment, and let technicians add pictures directly to the record. When someone makes a mistake on a work order or parts ticket, a correction or refund that once could take most of a day can now be handled with a click.

SANY warranty discipline - and excitement for practical AI

Cody's interest in AI is grounded in practical dealership work. He joined the interview fresh from an AED session on service AI, and a couple of TraxPlus technicians were already using Flyntlok's AI-powered Tech Notes. Cody sees meaningful value in the tool as adoption grows across the team: it already works, he noted; the next opportunity is getting more technicians to use it.

One immediate opportunity is SANY warranty documentation. Updated policies require complete data, pictures, and technician notes. Flyntlok keeps those records together on the work order, while AI-powered Tech Notes can turn a technician's spoken explanation into organized Complaint, Cause, and Correction notes. Alongside pictures and warranty templates, Cody sees stronger write-ups helping TraxPlus save time and protect reimbursement.

“That will eventually save us time and money. We’re not losing because the write-up wasn’t done right.”- Cody Savell, Director of Operations

The AI capability Cody is most excited about is beyond the service bay: Smart Campaigns in Flyntlok’s CRM. Once TraxPlus has enough sales history, he wants to send marketing based on customers' known interests and return to dormant leads when a relevant offer or discount becomes available. Cody expects the opportunity to grow over the next six months, and for years to come, as Flyntlok captures more customer activity.

Real-time visibility across every location

Connected operations are also giving leadership a clearer view of the business. Chris now checks the sales summary report across locations nearly every day - visibility he says was impossible before.

For Cody, the change also replaces hours of manual reporting. Information that previously required separate weekly or monthly reports is now available in real time, allowing him to get answers faster and ask better questions about what is happening across the business.

“It’s real time, so that saves me hours a month just by doing that. Plus, I get answers—I’m able to ask different questions based on that.”- Cody Savell, Director of Operations

That visibility turns five stores into one manageable operation. Leadership can compare activity across branches, while operations teams can follow parts movement and machine availability without relying on side conversations or disconnected records.

"The ability to see that sales summary report with the different locations… I look at it nearly daily. It's a breath of fresh air, because that was impossible before."
- Chris Weems, Dealer Principal and Owner

The biggest business value: employee satisfaction

When asked to identify Flyntlok's greatest business value - visibility, productivity, technician efficiency, revenue, or financial accuracy - Chris answered with something different from the expected operational metrics: employee satisfaction.

“Everything else falls in line behind that. If you’ve got something that’s easy for your employees to use, the rest of it just takes care of itself.”
- Chris Weems, Dealer Principal and Owner

That answer connects every part of the TraxPlus story. A system employees can learn quickly removes friction from onboarding. Reliable data reduces interruptions. Easier transactions help people serve customers without wrestling with software. And a smoother workday matters when a 60-person dealership is trying to grow across five locations.

That employee-centered approach fits the culture TraxPlus has built.

“TraxPlus is almost like a symbol or a beacon out here on the highway… people say, ‘Oh, you’re the place that has all the equipment.’ I think most of our employees have that sense of pride when they’re out dealing with customers or the community.”- Cody Savell, Director of Operations

TraxPlus grew from a tent and a small parts shed into a multi-state SANY dealership by continually rewriting the playbook. With Flyntlok, the team now has a connected platform that can evolve with that playbook - without sending the business back to the complexity it has already left behind.
