Non Alaskans be like: Wait, what?! That’s a thing? Yes, Monday March 31 is Seward’s Day in Alaska and it is an official Flyntlok holiday. However, we recognize that all you folks outside of the 49th state are all going to be working. So we will have a reduced staff that day to manage your questions and to provide help; just understand if we don’t respond quite as quickly as we normally do...
And if you are bored this weekend, you can go read up about William H. Seward and fill your head with fun facts to amaze your lower 49 state or fellow Canadian friends. E.g. Did you know Seward was wounded in an assassination attempt at the exact same time that Booth killed Lincoln? It was part of a plan to slay the three senior members of the Executive Branch. (Spoiler: the assassination plan of Seward failed).
Here at Flyntlok we are not only building the most cutting-edge Dealer Management software, but we also want to act as industry thought leaders. To that end, we encourage you to follow us on LinkedIn and review our periodic blog posts. For example, here is a recent posting about our integration with Avalara for better sales tax management.
If you have a suggestion for a blog post that you think other Flyntlok customers, or the industry in general, might find interesting, please let us know. Drop us a line at sales@flyntlok.com.
Opportunity
Intuit is pushing applications integrated with QuickBooks Online, like good ol' Flyntlok, to upgrade to their newer back-end application interfaces. In order to continue communicating with them, we’re required to update Flyntlok’s QuickBooks accounting integration.
Solution
We took this as an opportunity to upgrade our entire back-end accounting integration services to improve reliability and eliminate some longstanding issues that have been impacting our users. We started to undertake this project at the end of 2024 and it will continue for several months still to come.
The first phase of this project was essentially invisible to you, but we have migrated all of our services to a newer technology and made it compatible with QuickBooks Online’s latest specs. Now, when an accountant hits one of the processing buttons on their QuickBooks Online page, it uses the updated logic. This back-end update is going to allow us to have better automated testing and allow us to make changes much faster. So, while not visible to you as a user, it's going to pay huge dividends for us going forward. We felt like you oughta know.
Additionally, we’ve resolved some long-standing bugs with the process, including where Credit Memos and Refund Receipts sometimes posted even when their associated Journal Entry failed; and Customer Deposits using Gravity credit card fees subtracted the fee from every payment. Those bugs have now been addressed.
Over the coming months we will provide notifications across all accounting-sync processes for failed transactions. We aim to tell you why a transaction failed, what the offending transaction was, and how to fix it. We want you to have the ability to fix issues on your own rather than forcing you to create a support ticket to resolve simple problems. Power to the people! Stay tuned..
Opportunity
John Deere offers an optional, dealer-paid service called Retail Parts Management (RPM) that helps dealers manage their parts inventory. A key tool from RPM is called JDPrism, which is used to manage dealer stock levels. Using JDPrism, RPM can recommend stock orders, special orders, and transfers between dealer store locations based on stocking levels and sales history.
Our John Deere dealers have requested an integration with JDPrism so they can leverage this powerful tool to better manage their inventory and receive suggestions from John Deere.
Solution
We have implemented an integration with JDPrism that allows dealers to better manage their John Deere parts inventory. To drive this integration, your John Deere parts inventory data (e.g. quantity on hand, sales history, etc.) will be uploaded to JDPrism on a regular schedule set by John Deere. Then, you can approve Orders or Transfers within JDPrism that will be ingested into Flyntlok periodically throughout the day (every 15 minutes or so) to create Purchase Orders and Part Transfers.
If you are interested in the JDPrism integration, please reach out to your friendly Flyntlok consultant for assistance.
Opportunity
Sales Managers requested the ability to better organize their Model Options. Previously, managing Models with a large number of options could feel a bit overwhelming.
Solution
Our enhancements to Model Options are designed to make managing Model Options easier and more efficient. To simplify this, we’ve introduced two key improvements to the Model Options Editor:
NOTE: This is just the beginning of the “Model Option” fun! The new "Category" field will play a key role in upcoming enhancements to Model Options, including updates to Sales and Purchasing workflows. Stay tuned for more updates!
Opportunity
Salespeople shared that knowing about potential Machine sale conflicts earlier in the sales process would be a game-changer. While we already provided warnings during the sale processing stage, we did not show this critical information at any other time during the life of the sale. Selling the same Machine unknowingly could lead to accuracy issues and impact customer satisfaction.
Solution
An indicator icon will now appear on the Machine sale line whenever there’s a potential conflict, such as the same Machine being listed on another Sales Order. This gives you a heads-up before finalizing the sale.
We've also added the same indicator when searching for a Machine to add to a sale. This means you’ll know about potential conflicts before adding the Machine to the order, saving time and avoiding surprises.
Opportunity
Service Managers have asked for greater control over workflow automations, specifically at the Job level within Work Orders. Previously, our automation tools could only update Work Order statuses.
Solution
We've expanded this functionality to include Job-level status updates as well! By automating Job status changes based on key workflow actions, shops that rely on Job-level tracking can reduce manual updates, improve reporting accuracy, and ensure that technicians, parts teams, and service managers stay aligned in real-time. This means fewer bottlenecks, better communication, and faster turnaround times.
New Automation Triggers
You can now configure Work Order Jobs to automatically update their statuses based on the following actions:
Reach out to your friendly Flyntlok consultant for assistance in setting up these new automations!
Opportunity
Service Managers handling cost-of-sale (COS) Work Orders struggle to track the associated customers from the linked invoices, as these details are not visible on the Service Scheduler.
Solution
We have improved the display of the Work Order search results in the Service Scheduler to show the Cost-of-Sale Invoice's customer, making tracking and scheduling more seamless. Additionally, we have enhanced the title of scheduled events in the Service Scheduler when a Work Order is scheduled at the time of creation.
Opportunity
Users managing Cost-of-Sale Work Orders often need to verify the linked Sales Order and associated invoice. Previously, this required navigating back to the Sales Order, leading to inefficiencies and potential tracking issues.
Solution
Cost-of-Sale Work Orders now display the linked invoice directly within the Work Order, allowing users to quickly access relevant details without leaving the page.
Opportunity
Technicians faced challenges identifying machines because the mobile view did not display their descriptions.
Solution
Machine descriptions are now included in the Work Order Search display results on the mobile view, making it easier to identify equipment.
Service Managers have requested that Correction Notes be included on Work Order Estimates to provide more clarity and context when sharing with customers.
Solution
We've added a new setting: "Show Job Correction on Work Order Estimates". When enabled, this setting will include Correction Notes on newly generated estimates. To turn this feature on, go to Flyntlok Settings and find it under the Service section.
Opportunity
Users find adding or locating contacts on the New Work Order page to be cumbersome and occasionally buggy.
Solution
Opportunity
Sales Managers requested an automation that updates Shopify orders when an invoice moves to "Pickup" or "Delivered" statuses in Flyntlok. Previously, Salespeople had to manually update Shopify, which is time-consuming and redundant.
Solution
Flyntlok now automatically updates Shopify orders to reflect "Pickup" and "Delivered" statuses when corresponding invoice updates occur. This eliminates the need for manual intervention, streamlining order management.
Opportunity
Sales Managers requested a notification for incoming Shopify orders, so that any salesperson that wants or needs to know about such orders will be notified immediately.
Solution
There is now a new notification for orders from Shopify that can be enabled for anyone who wants it.
Opportunity
Users found the reversal process for posted splits confusing, as they would end up in a "Delivered" status if the parent invoice was not also reversed.
Solution
Now, when attempting to reverse a split, a warning will inform users if the parent invoice must be reversed first.
Complaint: Parts Managers had noted that, when attempting to merge parts, sometimes mergeable parts would not show up in the list to be merged.
Correction: Fixed.
Complaint: When using Scan Mode on the Receiving Voucher, scanning a barcode resulted in a "Part Not Found" error, even though the part was listed on the voucher.
Correction: The issue was caused by a leading space in the scanned item number, preventing an exact match. The Scan Mode has been updated to automatically trim leading and trailing spaces from the scanned input.
Complaint: A technician was able to add parts to a Work Order after it had been invoiced, even though no changes should be allowed once the Work Order has been Invoiced.
Correction: Fixed.
Complaint: The total amount on the printed Work Order report was off by one cent compared to the final invoice.
Correction: Fixed the rounding of the estimated tax on the print, ensuring that the total calculation now matches the final invoice.
Complaint: Users were unable to edit the Certificate of Conformance (COC) requirement from the Purchase Order.
Correction: Enabled the COC field to be editable in PO edit mode, allowing users to update the requirement as needed.
Complaint: Sales Managers noted that they would sometimes receive duplicate CRM Leads generated from their marketing site's "Text Us" form.
Correction: Fixed an issue with CRM Text Us widgets where customers were able to inadvertently submit an inquiry multiple times.
Complaint: Managers complained that they were not able to update their Sales Order default footer in Flyntlok Settings.
Correction: Fixed. We have updated this setting to support longer default footer messages.
Complaint: Rental Clerks were unable to load Rental Dashboard without errors.
Correction: Fixed an issue where Rental Dashboard failed to load defaults when store hours were not configured in Rental Settings.
Complaint: Salespeople mentioned that some Sales Order links appeared broken on their CRM Lead Dashboard timeline.
Correction: Fixed. Deleted Sales Orders associated to a CRM Lead will no longer display as a link.
Complaint: Managers complained that when using the "Merge Model" tool, they were unable to find a model by searching its internal ID.
Correction: Fixed. “Merge Model” searcher can now search by internal Model ID.
Complaint: Sales Managers mentioned that when using the Bulk Update action on the Part Price Matrix page, it did not appear to be factoring in Unit Qty when auto-calculating list price. This happened similarly on individual updates via the new Pricing Matrix editor.
Correction: Fixed.
Complaint: Purchasers noted that when reporting an Exception on Part Purchase Orders, the PO status would not update.
Correction: Fixed. PO Status is now automatically refreshed when reporting an Exception on a PO or any of the PO's associated Vouchers.
Complaint: Fleet Managers noted that when printing a Machine “Internal Asset Report”, the Machine's ID appeared to be missing or incorrect.
Correction: Fixed report to show the proper Machine ID.
Complaint: Service Managers complained that when printing a Work Order Worksheet PDF, sometimes the Jobs would be listed out of order.
Correction: Fixed.
Complaint: Salespeople were unable to deliver Invoices because the "Credit Auth" payment type was applied to Multi-Pay Sale.
Correction: Disabled "Credit Auth" payment type in the Multi-Pay workflow to allow invoices to close properly.
Complaint: When updating Work Order Statuses, the updated status would sometimes disappear from existing Work Orders that had that status set.
Correction: Fixed.

Opportunity:
Flyntlok users would like a way to better manage Work Orders that contain Warranty Jobs. It would save time if users could invoice both Warranty related and Non-Warranty Jobs on the same WO because currently, Flyntlok requires two separate Work Orders.
Solution:
We have added a new setting that your Administrator can set which will then create multiple invoices for each Work Order that contains Warranty and non-Warranty related Jobs. We have also added a new field on the Job level called Warranty Customer which will default to the Vendor of the Machine associated with that job. If a WO has multiple Warranty jobs associated with different Vendors, Flyntlok will generate a separate invoice for each of the different Vendors. The invoice for the final Customer will show zero cost for any Warranty related jobs.
To relate a Vendor to a Warranty Customer, we have added a new field to the Customer edit page where you can specify the Vendors related to a Warranty Customer. (A Warranty Customer is a customer record in Flyntlok to which you would invoice work completed on a Warranty for a Vendor.) You can only set Warranty Vendors if the Customer type is set to Warranty.
Opportunity:
Service managers have requested the ability for techs to be able to switch users from within the Mobile View on a single shared device. Currently, Flyntlok allows only administrators the ability to switch between alternate users' Flyntlok profiles within the company and only when in the Desktop View.
Solution:
We have added the Switch User feature to the Mobile view. You will now see the Switch User icon in the top right corner of the Mobile View's home page, and we will display the name of the now-current user below the navbar, making it clear who is logged in. This is a client-based setting. Please reach out to the Flyntlok support team if you would like this set up!
Opportunity:
Service managers have also requested the ability for technicians to create new Work Orders directly from the Mobile View on a single shared device. Currently, the new Work Order button of the Mobile View takes you to the Desktop Work Order creation page.
Solution:
We have created a mobile version of the Work Order creation page.
Opportunity:
Flyntlok Purchasing Managers would like the ability to combine Special Orders along with regular Stock Orders when using the Flyntlok Draft Stock Order page. This will save time by allowing users to combine these orders with fewer steps than before. There is currently no way to combine quantities from the Draft Stock Order.
Solution:
We have added a column that will display the Special Order amount that is contained on a Special Order PO located next to the recommended quantity, in addition to the existing Order Qty field. If the user clicks on the drop-down arrow on the part, under the “Open Special Orders” there is a “Merge” button that allows for the combining of the Special Order with this Stock Order. Flyntlok then “reserves” the Special Order quantity.
Opportunity:
Flyntlok users have requested a centralized Purchasing Report that shows the value of demanded items with the ability to generate a purchase order based on the demand.
Solution:
We have added a new "Purchasing Hub" report that will summarize the value of demanded Special Order and Stock Order items by Vendor or Distributor. From the report, you will be able to generate a Draft Purchase Order to purchase the Special Order items, Stock Order items, and any other items under that Vendor or Distributor.
Flyntlok Administrators will have the option to add this new report to the Left-Hand Navigation Menu by navigating to the "Admin Editor Wrench" icon in the upper right corner of the home screen, then select the "Navigation" option from the drop-down. The Purchasing Hub report can be added to either the Parts or Purchasing tabs of the Navigation Menu.
Opportunity:
Flyntlok users would like to specify whether a contact can be included in email or SMS text messages directly from the Contact's Dashboard. Currently, if the contact is not set up to allow SMS/email correspondence, users will have to navigate to the Customer Dashboard to edit this setting.
Solution:
We have added the "allow email/text" flag to the Customer Contact Dashboard.
Opportunity:
Salespeople have requested the ability to edit a Machine directly from a Sales Order. Currently, when a Machine is added to a new Sales Order, Flyntlok supplies a link to the Machine's Dashboard. However, there is no option to click on a link that brings users straight to the Edit Machine Information page.
Solution:
We have added a new icon to the Machine item line in the Point of Sale, which will redirect users to the machine edit page when selected. This will save users extra clicks!
Opportunity:
In the original Payments screen, Flyntlok offered an "Apply and Process" option that would auto-order the associated Sales Order, removing the additional step of manually clicking the Order button after processing payment. The new and updated payment screen lacked this "Apply and Process" option. ( This new payments screen is only currently only available to users of the new Clover Payment devices. If you wish to upgrade your payment devices, please reach out to your friendly Flyntlok consultant or a Gravity Payments representative.)
Solution:
We have added the "Apply and Process" option to the new Payments screen.
Opportunity:
Salespeople have requested that the payment date displayed on the item line in the Sales Order be added to PDFs generated from the Point Of Sale.
Solution:
We have added the payment date to the details of the payment lines on the PDF copy.
Note- This will not backfill on existing payment lines.
Opportunity:
Flyntlok users have requested Machines that have been set with a Primary or Secondary class have this information displayed within the Machine's Dashboard. This information is also displayed within the information display of a Machine when adding to a Work Order.
Solution:
We have added a new "Class" section to the Machine's Dashboard and to the information display of a machine on the Work Order creation page.
Opportunity:
Salespeople have requested an indicator of Stale Parts be added to the item searcher of the Point of Sale.
Solution:
We have added a Stale parts indicator to the item searcher results. If there is QOH of an item at a different location, Flyntlok will show an asterisk in the QOH box of the searcher to indicate that the item is on hand at another location. If there is QOH in another location and the part is stale, it will indicate as such by red text and the asterisk. Hovering over the QOH box will show the status and the QOH in alternate company locations
Complaint:
The Item Dashboard was displaying incorrect On-Order Quantities when there were still Receiving Quantities on open Voucher/Purchase Orders. The On-Order Quantity shouldn't include Received Quantities, even if the Voucher/PO was not closed.
Cause/Correction:
On-Order Quantities now reflect Received Quantities regardless of the status of the PO.
Complaint:
Users could reverse a Sales Order while it was still posting to QBO.
Cause/Correction:
Fixed. Our development team was able to update the QBO settings to block a reversal if the transaction is still processing.
Complaint:
Flyntlok users have been experiencing an issue where the printed invoice of a split Sales Order did match the invoice on the Flyntlok screen.
Cause/Correction:
Fixed. This issue was caused when one of the split invoices was deleted. In that instance, the master invoice was not removing the details from the deleted invoice. The printed master invoice will no longer include the deleted split invoice details.
Complaint:
Flyntlok should display a warning message to users when attempting to create a new Machine if the Serial Number is associated with another Machine in your inventory. Currently, this message is only displayed when creating new Machines via the Left-Hand Navigation's “New Tab.” Flyntlok users have requested this message also be displayed when using the Machine Quick-Create functions from the Point of Sale and the Work Order creation page.
Cause/Correction:
We have added a Duplicate Serial Number warning to the machine quick create features.
Complaint:
Flyntlok users were able save the Model without a Make.
Cause/Correction:
The Make field is now required when creating/saving a Model.

Tags are displayed on each job tab.
Machine creation on the new work order form has a description field.

We've made it easier to sort and filter the list of machines when adding machines to a voucher.
While adding new machines to the voucher, you can now designate a quantity of machines to create.
We have added label printing functionality to the bulk actions! Don't forget - Flyntlok consultants can customize these labels to your business needs. Just submit a support ticket!
We added permission that must be turned on if the user would like to complete vouchers. You can also designate a user to receive a notification and pending action when a voucher is submitted for completion.
We have removed the recalculate button and will recalculate the fees live.
If you add a date and leave the year blank, we will assume that you would like to use the current year.
If a machine received on a voucher has files attached to it, you will see a voucher files section on the machine's dashboard. Remember, files attached to a machine using the detail view will be attached directly to the machine.
If you track your payables through bill.com, we have added the ability to set up a bill.com machine clearing account. If this is set, we will offset the asset amount on the journal entry to this account.
If you log in from a phone, you will now be taken directly to the mobile view. If you want to return to the desktop version, click Return to Desktop at the bottom of the page!
The work order you are clocked into will display at the top of the page. The My Work button will show you all of the work orders you have assigned to you.
We've updated messages coming back from our card processor to make it more clear when a card has been declined or if there was an error during the payment process.
We will be beta-ing a new feature with pilot dealers that should make it much easier for us to properly calculate your billing durations given a date range on a calendar. This should allow you to set up contract data in a much easier format and reduce the number of dates you need to manage for a rental contract.
We will be beta-ing a new feature with pilot dealers that allows you to set a default interim billing cycle for a contract. This should greatly reduce existing date adjusting when trying to create an interim invoice. This will also let us notify you when you have a contract due for billing, and in the future, offer us the chance to generate these bills automatically for you!
You can now select a location during the rental contract creation. Previously, we only allowed you to change it once the contract was created.
While entering an address on a rental contract, you can now click the Save to Customer box to save the address to the customer address book.
Consumables can be configured in two different ways: Standard and Capacity-Based. Capacity-Based is better for fuel because fuel is measured in percentages, not quantities. Standard is better for renting out consumables that are measured in units. Tire wear, cutting edge wear, and other specifically measure consumables should be setup with the Standard style.
When auto-generating work orders at rental check-in, we were using the machine's last known hours, not the hours at check-in. That has been fixed, so work orders populate with the machine's hours at check-in.
We fixed a handful of bugs causing the work order error when you tried to save. Some of the most notable are:
Notification groups should now be more clear in which aspect of Flyntlok they tie to.
Along with adding more categories of notifications, we added a new notification you can receive if a CRM Lead gets assigned to you. You can configure how you would like to receive this notification by clicking your name in the upper right of Flyntlok and heading to preferences -> notifications.
We've added an option on the customer profile to decide if you keep the customer's accounting contact in sync with Quickbooks Online data or if the data you enter in Flyntlok should be the source of truth. This is the email we use to auto-send invoices and receipts. When this is on, we will always override what is in those fields with what is set in QuickBooks Online. When it is off, the contact and email will remain whatever you enter under the customer profile in those fields.
We were presenting you with some errors almost anytime you ran the end-of-day process to post customer payments. Those errors were erroneous in that the posting had gone through successfully. We prevented those unnecessary errors from displaying going forward. Actual errors still display!

We have restructured the customer panel to make it more space-conscious and moved the contact selector next to the customer selector. Previously, the contact was selected in the details panel at the bottom of the page.
You can now designate the type of invoice and use that for reporting.
The type and location can also be encoded into the ID. If you wish to enable this feature, please submit a support ticket.
We have made it easier to add/edit notes and send SMS's from the point of sale by adding an activity panel on the lower right of the page.
When a customer responds, you will get a notification in the lower right of Flyntlok, and on your dashboard.
You can reply from the notification, customer dashboard, or right in the activity panel on the invoice.
Previously when creating a return for a sale that includes cores, we were not populating the return sales order with the dirty core. We updated that so you no longer have to add that manually when the customer returns with the dirty core.
We have updated the sales order PDF to reflect the machine owner if it is different than the bill-to.
You can now customize your own templates for SMS's sent from the work order system! To configure your templates, please submit a ticket and a consultant will work with you to get them setup.
We have added an unread activity indicator on the activity panel. Once you open the panel, the notes will be flagged as reviewed and the indicator will be removed.
We have added icons to the estimate section to indicate when an estimate has been emailed to your customer, and when they respond. Look for more updates to this feature in the coming releases!
We have added an unread activity indicator on the activity panel. Once you open the panel, the notes will be flagged as reviewed and the indicator will be removed.
Based on your company's settings, we will automatically create a work order at the first rental, and every subsequent check-in of a rental. We updated this functionality to create these work orders as segmented. In the coming release, you should be able to designate one or more job templates to be added to this style of work order.
We moved the bulk printing of labels from the PO to the voucher. This lets you print off a barcode label for each item you are receiving.
Previously we were updating the Accounting Email and Auto-Send setting on the customer when you re-loaded them. That caused confusion when QuickBooks Online had different data than what was set in Flyntlok. We will no longer automatically update those fields.

In the past, only one machine was allowed per work order. This worked great until a customer dropped off a chain saw, pole saw, and weed wacker. Now you can add multiple machines to a work order. To do this, click "Multiple" on the work order creation screen. Then add machines to each job.
Then, you will be able to add a machine to each individual job.
Click the Info Tab to see a list of people that are clocked into a work order.
The customer will not see any notes that are added in the "Notes" section. However, after the notes have been reviewed, you can add them to the correction section by clicking the "Add to Corrections" button.
When you minimize a section on the info tab of the work order page, it will remain closed until you open it again.
Parts invoices can be transferred between jobs. The jobs can even be on different work orders. Click the transfer button on the management tab to preform transfers.
Certain work order actions only need to be available to select users. Below is a list of actions that can be limited. The limits can be set on the Authorized Users tab by your company Flyntlok administrator.
If you are interested in upgrading to the new rental system, please reach out to consulting@flyntlok.com.
From a rental contract, select "Request Signature" from the actions dropdown.
Then input the customers' email on the pop-up.
The customer will receive an email prompting them to e-sign the contract.
Then, the customer can sign the contract.
Beta users can configure Kits from the Models page. To create a Kit from scratch, first, create a Model. Then edit the model and scroll down to the recommended items section.
Remember, only items that are marked rentable will show in the searcher.
If you leave the box blank, the rental delivery fee will show TBD instead of $0. This allows you to bill the customer after the delivery has occurred. In this case, we recommend having your rates listed in the terms of the contract.
You can now associate more than one salesperson to a Customer. This can be helpful if a customer has a salesperson and a PSSR.
You can now see the last time a customer was surveyed on the customer's dashboard.
We have updated vendor searching from the search bar. It should be faster and show better results than before!

By request, we have been moving users over to the new work order system. Thank you for all the great feedback! Please submit a ticket if you would like to start using the new system.
After creating a work order for a John Deere or Hitachi machine, we will look for open PIPs. If any are found, they will be listed just below the Add Job button in the new Recommended section of the work order.
Once you select a recommended job, we will pull information directly from John Deere like the PIP title, type, and even the items needed for PIP. If you choose to create the job, we will also create the internal parts order with the required parts for the job.
In order to save you time on creating templates for common jobs, you can now create a job template directly from a job you have on a work order.
In our new work order, we have moved away from work requested and work done on jobs to a complaint, cause, and correction structure. This gives the opportunity to input the customer's complaint, then the technician's analysis of what caused the problem. The correction field will be used to communicate the work done. Only complaint and correction are required.
Description labels appear when a button is disabled to give insight as to why the button is disabled.
Banners are back! After getting a new look, banners are being reintroduced to update you on important information.
We will soon be adding more customers to the new rental system. Here are some of the new features that will be available!
We now support renting out items. To make an item rentable, you will need to edit the item and check the Item Can Be Rented box.
While you are there, you can add rent schedules to cover all of your pricing structures.
A rental kit consists of one machine and a group of items that must be rented together. An example of this is renting a serialized air compressor with a hose and pressure regulator. The air compressor is the serialized machine, while the air hose and pressure regulator are optional items. When adding the machine to the rental, you can choose the amount of each item you will rent with the machine. These items will then be pulled from inventory when checked out, then added back to inventory when checked in.
We now support customized email templates on each survey template that you send out. If you are interested in adjusting your email template or learning more about our survey system, please reach out to consulting@flyntlok.com!
If you are a multi-store company, you can now configure your surveys to only send when the sale is closed at a certain store.

When stock orders are received, Flyntlok will help find where they will be used best. If you have outstanding special orders for the same part; you will be able to move the stock order part onto the special order from the receiving pop-up.
Flyntlok now automatically checks to see if your rental customers' licensing is up to date. You can continue with the rental on a case-by-case basis.
To implement this check at your business go to the Wrench->Flyntlok->Flyntlok Details. Then under the rental section make sure "Require Valid License for Machine Checkout" is selected.
Flyntlok now displays a warning if you add a duplicate item to a sales order. Choose to either combine the item with an existing line item or create a new line item.
Don't receive this report? Reach out to consulting@flyntlok.com to get it set up.
Flyntlok will now verify fleet pricing on work orders. Add the customer's fleet number during work order creation or from the edit screen to take advantage of any discounts. We are continuing to further automate this process.
When a customer is changed on an existing sales order, any discounts will be recalculated. This will ensure every customer is charged the correct amount.
When inspecting parts on ERP vouchers the below error would occur. This has been fixed on all vouchers created after 6/30/2021.
After a Voucher has been closed it will be "locked down". Users will not be able to add or delete attachments, edit attachment values, or make changes to fees and credits. We remove the buttons altogether, see below!
Flyntlok will assume you are inputting days when a number is typed into the rental duration text box. You can still use "w" after a number to set weeks and "m" to set months.
Flyntlok had been setting the default salesperson to the first person shown in the dropdown; which is ordered alphabetically. The default first salesperson will now automatically be set to the user that is signed in.
The beta work order dashboard was not filling the Recipient(s) dropdown with customer emails. Flyntlok will automatically fetch emails associated with the company listed on a sales order. The system will then show the emails in the Recipient(s) dropdown on the "Email Report" page. This will make it faster to email quotes and receipts to customers.

You now have the ability to transfer an item directly from a sales order! Previously, this could only be done from the item dashboard. After adding an item to the sales order that needs to be transferred to your location, you will see a truck icon next to the QOH of the item.
Clicking this will bring up the transfer information box. In this form, fill out how much, from where, your comments, your preferred shipping method (for the transfer) and whether or not this should be drop-shipped to the customer. This will initiate queue up a request to transfer the item to your location.
Tip: "Quick Transfer"
The quick transfer button will move your inventory instantly from one location to the next. This means upon clicking this button the QOH is immediately removed from the source location and moved to the destination location (your invoice location). This by-passes all the current transfer workflows in place, but will still create a record of the transfer.
Flyntlok will now keep your customer data from QuickBooks Online up to date in real time with Flyntlok. This ensures that things like the customers balance due stay in sync between the two systems with less clicks, and less human intervention.
!!! Tip "Loading QuickBooks Customer Data"
You can still sync the two systems by heading to the Wrench -> Accounting -> QuickBooks online and clicking the `Load Customers` button, but with this update, you really shouldn't have to do that ever again!
!!! danger ""
This is a beta feature. We will be monitoring its status over the next few weeks. We will be expanding on it during this time frame as well to incorporate all of the data between the two systems. Less clicks!
When an Equipment Condition Report is attached and completed on a work order, we will now generate a segmented work order for the needed repairs.
1. After adding an ECR in the Associated Forms section, selecting it will allow you to edit the form.
2. Selecting **No, requires fix** will prompt the system to generate a work order for the repairs.
3. When all appropriate fields are filled out on the ECR, next to the form number, you will click the *Save* button and then the *Go to Work Order* button.
4. The auto generated work order will be created after the machine is checked out from the work order.
5. On the new work order, for everything that was marked as needing a fix, there will be a job for that repair.
!!! danger ""
None of the jobs that are auto generated will have a labor type set. Be sure to set this before clocking into the job.
!!! tip "Rental Check Ins"
A reminder that Flyntlok can auto generate work orders when a rental unit is checked in. The work order will already have an ECR form attached. This allows for rental units to be checked in, have their condition reviewed, and then a work order generated for any repairs needed. We can also create new condition options on the ECR that will create a work order for the customer of the rental if you choose to bill them for repairs. Please reach out to Flyntlok to get this configured!
We have removed alternate payment options when a customer type is internal. You can only use the Flyntlok generated payment in this case.
We have added an internal cost report for work orders. This report will break out your labor cost, parts cost, and labor entries by job.
With this data, we can also show you your profit, margin, estimated hours, and actual hours per job.
If the work order is not in an Invoiced Status, you will go to the Actions drop-down and select Print Internal to access the report.
If the work order is in Invoiced status, there will be a red Internal button next to the Print and Email buttons, where you can access the report.
!!! note ""
This document is currently in beta. Any feedback on layout or data would be greatly appreciated to help utilize this report!
!!! danger ""
The internal document only works for segmented work orders. You cannot view this report on simple work orders.
We now send notifications when a quote is set to expire. You will receive notifications when the quote is 7 days from expiring, 3 days from expiring, and the day of expiration. You will see a green notification that shows in the lower right of your screen.
And you will get a red banner on your dashboard.
When a quote hits the expiration date, we will now mark it as expired with a message indicating that it was rejected due to expiration.
We made a few enhancements to the auto-generating DMS work order feature.
1. When setting the location on the work order, we will first check the default manufacturing location of the item, then the default manufacturing location set in the Flyntlok Settings page, and if neither of those are set we will set the location based on the sales order location.
2. The end date of the work order will now reflect the date that is set in the *Due Date* field on the sales order.
3. The description of the item on the sales order will be copied into the work requested section of the work order. This allows for that description to be set per sales order for custom work requests.
4. The origin of the work order will be noted.
5. The public message on the sales order is set as a note on the work order.
6. The customer PO on the sales order is noted on the work order as well.
On the work order PDF, we will now show the tag number and work station that have been assigned. We also removed the date that is associated with the hours and miles on the machine.
From a variance report for a physical inventory sprint, you can create a journal entry for those item variances. When you are on a variance report, you will see a button in the upper right that will create the journal entry.
This journal entry will contain a debit and credit for every item that had a variance. An increase will result in a debit to the asset account for that item, while a decrease will result in a credit to the asset account of the item.
We will automatically assign the correct asset and expense accounts. We will first look for the part's asset account, and if that isn't set, we will use the vendor's asset account for that item. For the expense account, we allow you to select an expense account to be used in the Flyntlok Details admin editor.
!!! note ""
Go to the wrench in the upper right -> Flyntlok -> Flyntlok Details. You can find the Inventory Variance Expense Account field towards the bottom of the accounting section.
If that default expense account is not set, we will first look for the parts expense account, and if that is not, set we will use the vendor's expense account of that part.
!!! warning ""
We do not restrict the creation of multiple journal entries for one sprint.
Flyntlok now supports adding an account payment type with any other type of payment! To use this feature you will need to add an Item Reference to your payment types that is different from the account payment type item reference. This item reference is a QuickBooks item that will be used to create the invoice in QuickBooks with the payment line.
You can edit your payment types by going to the admin editors, hovering over Point of Sale, and selecting Invoice Payment Types.
We have added a field to your labor types that indicates if a labor type is active. This allows you to keep old labor types at their rates and cost so that they can still be accurately reported on. When doing a labor rate or cost change, you will need to create a duplicate of the labor type, adjust the cost and rate of that new labor line, then mark the old one as inactive. We will then remove that inactive labor type from being shown when selecting a labor type to clock into.
You can now review order confirmation and shipment information directly in Flyntlok. This data was previously only available on the Volvo Parts Online Portal. By line, you can review where the part is coming from, and get information such as the carrier and tracking number. This data is updated real-time from Volvo.
We now exclude quote status internal parts orders from showing on work order PDFs. Internal parts orders must at least be in draft status for them to be seen on the PDF.
When you go to edit a work order, you can now add, change, or remove tags and work stations.
Our quote system has been revamped to allow tracking of quote conversions and their reasoning. Through this we will be able to report on how many of your quotes are accepted vs rejected and your valuation of open quotes.
When you are on a quote, in the Payment tab you will now see three new options:
- Modify Quote: This will allow you to turn the quote back into a draft sales order and make changes.
- Reject: If a customer rejects the quote, clicking *Reject* will mark the current date as the date of rejection, and we will give you the option to categorize and explain the reason for the rejection.
- Accept: When the customer accepts the quote, selecting *Accept* will mark the current date as the date of acceptance and you will have the option to attribute that sale to a category.
!!! warning ""
When you turn a sales order into a quote, you can set the date of expiration. When this date is reached, we will mark the quote as expired.
!!! warning ""
When a quote is accepted, you will not be able to turn it back into a quote.
!!! warning ""
When a quote is rejected, it cannot be reopened.
We have created a few dashboard grids that report on the quote conversion statistics. These dashboards WILL NOT have legacy data. They will only contain quote data that is created from today and on.
!!! info ""
If you have current pending quotes, turn them into a draft sales order, then turn them back into a quote to start the conversion tracking.
We will have more reports in the future, and are open to any requests of reports that would be valuable to you or your company! The current options are:
- My Quote Stats YTD: Your quotes' valuations, broken out by month and quote status.
- My Quotes Expiring: Your quotes that are expiring within a week.
- My Quote Conversion: Your quotes' acceptance and rejected amounts.
- Company Quote Conversion: Quote acceptance and rejection by store location.
- Quotes by Sales Person: Quote counts by salesperson. (Note: This will only show users who are set to be Sales for their user type. This is set in the Users admin editor.)
!!! warning ""
You will need to talk to your management team to help get your dashboard configured if you are interested in the reports.
!!! Note ""
All the dashboard grids are YTD(Year To Date) information except for My Quotes Expiring.
When you charge a CC fee, we now link that fee to the CC charge that it is associated with. If the CC charge z-out is approved, the fee will move with that charge to approved, likewise, when it is disapproved, the fee will be marked as disapproved. This allows for you to remove CC fees from being queued up to post to QuickBooks until you approve the CC charge.
Happy Veterans Day
From all of us at Flyntlok, to all the veterans out there… we salute you! Thank you for your service and sacrifice!
We are in the process of creating a new way to track quote conversions and save old versions of quotes within Flyntlok. This will include the ability to accept, reject, and modify quotes. When modifying a quote, we will take a snapshot of that quote before it is modified so that you can see what changed and potentially what made the deal! This week we are releasing a few smaller features of the new quote system to start tracking quote success and rejection rates. You can read more about this week's quote features below.
We've revamped our quoting system to now track when a sales order is converted to a quote, and when that quote is accepted or rejected. When a quote is rejected, we give the salesman the opportunity to explain why the quote was rejected. Rejected quotes will show on your wins/losses report as a loss.
!!! info ""
The wins/loss report should be located under the Company tab on your left-hand nav. If you have difficulties finding or adding that menu, please reach out to Flyntlok!
- Category: This will help to categorize the reasons for a quote rejection.
- Lost To: You can name who the customer went with if there was competing sale.
- Reason: Here the salesman can add more relevant information as to why the customer rejected the quote.
When a quote is converted to a sales order, we mark that date as the successful quote conversion date.
You now have the ability to take overpaid amounts on sales orders and apply that amount to the customer's deposit. Instead of issuing a return transaction for the excess amount, you can select the Customer Credit payment option on the sales order to put that amount into the customer's deposit. As with regular deposit transactions, that amount will not show on the customer's dashboard until that payment line is approved and posted by your accounting department.
!!! warning ""
This will only work for customers that do not have an account.
After marking a physical inventory plan as complete, you now have the ability to reverse that plan to make any necessary changes.
We have added more to the transaction lockdown feature when doing an inventory count. Previously, you could only prevent the *order* button from being clicked on the sales order. Now, you can also prevent parts from being received/returned on POs, inter-store transfers from being executed, and ERP work orders from being graded. If the lockdown is active, and there is an active plan being executed, the system will only lockdown for the location with the active plan. This allows for the rest of your company to continue working.
We recommend the lockdown to prevent transactions from happening while you are counting parts. If you don't lockdown, and transactions are created, it has the potential to negatively affect your reported QOH.
!!! info ""
To activate the lockdown, head to the admin editors->Flyntlok->Flyntlok Details. At the bottom of the accounting, section will be a check box called Lock Inventory During Counts.
The new Labor History report will give you a breakdown of your DMS work order clocked time vs billable time for the month. We give a summary at the top of the report that shows the hours by location with rates and costs of those hours.
You can schedule this report by going to the Report Scheduler within the Flyntlok admin editor.
We have added a new item type field that, when assigned to an item, will create a simple DMS work order to create the item. This can be used for selling predefined services like flat-rate service work, or for custom work with a set quoted price.
!!! tip "To utilize this feature, follow these quick and easy steps"
1. We have pre-generated a new item type for you called "Work Order Generator". (You can modify this on the item types editor)
2. Create a new item in Flyntlok. While filling out this form, ensure you set the item type to "Work Order Generator".
3. You will need to set the proper income, asset, and expense accounts on this item for recording purposes, but it is not required to test out the feature.
4. After creation of the item, create a new sales order and sell this item.
5. Once you have clicked order on the sale, a new DMS Work Order will have been auto-generated for you.
Upon closing this work order, we will update the cost of the item on the sale to be the sum of the parts costs on the work order. We will also update the MSRP of the item on the sale to the sum of the list price of the parts used on the work order. This is to give you an idea of how close you were to your set price for this work.
We have amped up the reporting of costs on MRP work orders. You will see more fields that report on costs within the details tab of work orders. Many of the new labor cost calculations will depend on the labor time and labor type being set on a per-item basis. (The labor time was released last week, check out the information below!)
??? info "MRP Labor Averages"
If you are an MRP customer, when editing an item, you will now see averages under the Labor Time input. These averages will show actual and billable times of the 10 most recent closed work orders for that item.
Just above the Labor Time field is the Labor Type field. This field will allow you to select one of your current labor types as a default for this item. The cost of the labor type selected and the labor time that is input will be used to find estimated labor times and cost or sub labor times and costs on work orders.
Here is an explanation of all the cost fields and how they are calculated:
- Expected Parts Cost: This will be the current cost of the item being built multiplied by the quantity being built.
- Actual Parts Cost: This is the cost of all the items on the BOM being multiplied by their needed quantity and summed together.
!!! warning ""
Your expected part cost should equal the actual parts cost. This will help to accurately reflect the cost of that item.
- Expected Labor Cost: We calculate this by taking what is set in the *Item Labor* field for the item being built, multiply it by the quantity being built, and then multiply it by the cost of the labor type that is set for that item.
- Actual Labor Cost: This will be the billable time that is set on the work order, multiplied by the labor types' cost that is used to record the billable time.
- Sublabor Cost: Using the labor time and labor type that are set for all item's on the BOM, we multiply the quantity needed of the item by the set labor time, and then multiply that result by the cost of the labor type.
- Misc.Cost: A miscellaneous cost can be set by item. This cost will include anything that is not a labor cost or subpart cost when building or purchasing the item. This will field will take the miscellaneous cost of the item being built and multiply it by the quantity being built.
- Subparts Misc. Costs: This will take all item's on the BOM, multiply the needed quantity to build by the amount set for Misc. cost of that item, and sum this result from all the items.
- Total Costs: This will sum subparts, sub labor, labor, and all miscellaneous costs to show how much this or these items cost to build.
- Expected Labor Time: This will be the time that is set in the *Labor Time* field of the item, multiplied by the quantity being built.
- Actual Labor Time: This will be the time that is clocked in on the work order.
- Sublabor Time: This will be the labor time that is set on each item of the BOM, multiplied by the quantity of that item needed to build.
Along with the new reporting, you can now update the cost and labor time of an item when the final grade is submitted.
When the final grader goes to sign off on the work order, they will get two comparisons.
- Unit Cost: will show what is currently set as the cost (Expected) vs what the subparts cost is per item (Actual).
- Unit Labor: will show what is currently set in the item labor field for the item (Expected) vs how much time was clocked on the work order per item (Actual).
Below both comparisons are checkboxes that default to not checked. Checking these will update their respective field for the item being built. If the work order is linked to a sales order, we will go out and update the cost of that item on the sales order.
We have added notifications when submitting electronic POs. We find this necessary on a few of the integrations we currently have as they do not provide an immediate response to the PO. Starting with our Volvo integration, when you submit a PO, you can expect a notification to come via the lower right pop-up and blue banners on your dashboard. You no longer should have to wait on the PO and constantly refresh the page hoping for a response from the vendor.
Just a reminder that we are still in the process of migrating over Flyntlok customers to the new Gravity portal. A Flyntlok consultant will reach out to you when we are ready to migrate your company onto the new keyed-in transactions system. If you have any questions, please reach out to Flyntlok if you have any questions!
We have released a new feature that allows you to create, edit, view, and schedule work orders on a calendar page at the week- and month-level. You can also filter by five separate criteria to find the exact set of work orders you're looking for.
Dragging and dropping is enabled, allowing work orders be moved around freely. This makes scheduling much quicker and more efficient.
To get to the work order scheduler, go to the *Service Overview* tab and select *Work Order Scheduler*.

This feature is being released in beta. Please let us know any issues you run into. Feedback is always welcome!
We have added the ability to lockout all sales order from moving out of draft status when your company is performing an inventory count. This will prevent the *Order* button from being clicked. If you would like this enabled when performing your count, please reach out to Flyntlok!
You now have the ability to make a PDF version of your variance reports for inventory counts. When you are on a variance reports page, click the pdf icon in the upper right!
We've added the ability to print PDFs of inventory plans. This allows you to print the plan, take the count, and log the adjustments later if you are not able to take the inventory count on a mobile device. You can find the link to print the PDF on the *Physical Inventory Sprints and Plans* report, next to the plan's name.
We now allow you to duplicate journal entries.
Copying a journal entry will retain all data except for the journal date, journal number, and any attachments.
If you are an MRP customer, when editing an item, you will now see averages under the Labor Time input. These averages will show actual and billable times of the 10 most recent closed work orders for that item.
!!! attention ""
In the near future, we will use this field to estimate your sub-labor costs per work order.
Now, when you add a comment to a pending action, that comment will be added for all associated actions as well.
We have added a new feature that will make doing your monthly, quarterly, or yearly inventory counts a breeze! This feature gives you the ability to create what we call an inventory sprint. Within a sprint, you can:
- Create plans that can have specific bins or ranges of bins assigned to them.
- Assign an employee to execute a plan.
- Set a date that the plan is due by.
Along with this, we have created reports that will show you how much inventory has been adjusted and how your inventory valuations have changed.
!!! note "None of the adjustments will affect inventory until all the plans have been marked complete and the sprint is marked complete"
We prioritized making this feature mobile friendly to give employees the opportunity to carry a smart phone or tablet through the warehouse and execute the counts.
!!! danger ""
We have a guide on creating, executing, and closing out these inventory sprints.
Flyntlok has been working in the background with Gravity Payments (previously referred to as Charge It Pro) to upgrade keyed-in credit card transactions to the newest and most secure platform provided. If you are currently utilizing Gravity as your payment processor, a Flyntlok consultant will be reaching out to you within the next two months when you are slated to upgrade.

Now when using the S? search action, you can search for split sales orders.
From the vendor dashboard, you can now access a date range report for the vendor's part order sourcing. This will show you the selling price of items from this vendor that are sold over the counter and on a work order between the dates that you input.
We have revamped the old labels and added new ones! All of these labels now contain QR codes. When you scan the QR code with a smartphone camera, you will get a notification that will take you to the entity that the label was printed for. There are five different locations that these labels can be found:
1. On the item dashboard, under the actions drop-down, there is a Print Label option. This label will contain the item number, bin location, vendor, and list price, along with a QR code that takes you to the item's dashboard.
2. On the item purchase order, the far-right column has a printer icon that, when clicked, will generate a label. This label will contain the PO number, item number, quantity received, and if the item is a special order, you will see the sales order number and customer. The QR code on this label will take you to the purchase order when scanned.
3. From a sales order, there is a new barcode icon in the upper right that will generate a sales order label. This label will contain the sales order number, customer PO, ready date of the sales order or the date that the label was printed, customer of the sales order, and the selected contact information or the contact information for the customer. The QR code here will take you to the sales order.
4. From a DMS work order, in the Actions dropdown, the bottom option of the *Informational* section is Print Label. This will print a label for the work order that will have the work order number, machine, customer, and contact info for the customer. This QR code will take you to the work order.
5. From an ERP work order, in the Actions dropdown, the second to last option is Print Label. This will print a label for the work order that will have the work order number, item, department, priority, due date, quantity, and reference if it is linked to a sales order. This QR code will take you to the work order.
When you print a purchase order, if there is an account number associated with that vendor, it will show in the Vendor box of the purchase order pdf.
On the strategic sourcing report, we have updated it to follow our rules of only being able to set metric override or metric override date when the other is also being set or is already set. We have also added the ability to update the metric override type on this report!
??? info "What is the strategic sourcing report?"
Strategic Sourcing is used as a quick view for vendor stock orders. At the top of the page, you can select a location and vendor that you want to pull the stock order report for. This makes it easier for viewing multiple different vendors' suggested stock orders instead of creating draft stock orders for each vendor. We also allow you to update an item's reorder point, metric override, metric override date, and metric override type from the report. Strategic Sourcing will be located under the purchasing tab on your left nav. If you don't see the report there, please reach out to Flyntlok to get it added!
On the vendor dashboard, we have added a link to a report that lets you view all items that were received for the vendor between a specified date range. The link is located at the top of the Most Recent Purchase Orders box, next to the View All option.
We have added a hotlink for purchase orders on manufacturing work orders. This link will take you directly to the Flyntlok purchase order that is input.
On vendor purchase order drafts, we have added sold 180 and sold 180i columns.
!!! warning ""
- Sold 180: This will be the quantity of the item sold in the last 180 days.
- Sold 180i: This will be the total number of sales documents that the item was sold on in the last 180 days.
When a warranty type customer is set as the customer on a sales order, the machine search field will now search through all machines associated with your company.

Sparks
A file can now be imported and converted into a draft sales order in Sparks.
Only part numbers that match part numbers in Flyntlok will be accepted
.XLS, .XLSX, .CSV, .TSV files are all accepted
Parts Transaction Recording
We made a few changes to the part/item transaction engine in this release. Specifically, we added more detail to manual overrides, much like the standard buying, selling, and transfer of parts. These overrides occur for many reasons, now you can record the reason when you make the change.
Accountants and CEOs
Currently, we do not support the posting of these changes to QuickBooks as inventory asset adjustments. However, this group of programming changes will enable us to do this via an auto-generated monthly journal entry in the not too distant future.
Item Change Reasons
We added default reason codes for each of our customers. You can make changes by clicking on the wrench icon -> Items -> "QOH Change Reasons".
The reason code for a physical inventory count can be set by default. The reason code for a point of sale change can also be set by default.
Item Dashboard
Changes to inventory and average cost now occur through the actions drop-down menu and not via the bottom of the "Item Edit" screen. There are new action drop-down options for "Metric Override", "Scrap Part", and "Change QOH". Change QOH also allows you to edit average cost.
This is particularly helpful if you decide you need to change units of measure.
"Metric Override" now also allows you to set a reorder point by location (you used to have to set it for your whole enterprise). The part ordering engine checks to see if you have set it at the location level. If it is not set there, it will look to the enterprise level to see if there is an applicable reorder point.
When a change is recorded, the "Recent Orders" view on the item dashboard will now show who made the change, the reason for it, and the new quantity and average cost recorded.
New Transaction Type: RECLAIM
We added a new transaction type called “RECLAIM” which indicates that a special order part was ordered and received by your organization, but then the customer, for whatever reason, didn’t want it. This transaction moves the “special order” part into inventory.
Flyntlok always did this, but it was difficult to follow.
Reorder Point
Reorder point (ROP) is the level of inventory that triggers Flyntlok to recommend a replenishment of of that particular inventory. When your quantity on hand (QOH) reaches your ROP, Flyntlok will recommend you order enough stock to bring your QOH up to your recommended quantity (Flyntlok Calculated) or if set, your metric overrride.
Metric overrides are used to control your target QOH for a particular item
Sales Order Splits
We updated the logic behind sales order splits.
Item Transfers
We updated the logic behind item transfers. Please take a look below to better understand this new process.

If you are ordering it in stock it's considered 'over the counter', since you are not ordering it on an expedited shipping method.
Item Dashboard
We made an upgrade to the "Recent Orders Containing This Item" section. We updated the transaction type for reclaiming to make it more clear that a special order is being canceled. We also now show you balance and scrap transactions in that view.

Stihl Integration
We’ve been working with Stihl in order to bring new features into Flyntlok. Since Stihl allows you to order parts and machines concurrently, we give you the option to link a machine po to a part po for submission to Stihl. This helps you hit the threshold for the marketing fee! Please watch the video below to learn more!
Tip
Please allow up to 15 minutes for the order to be received by Stihl. After 15 minutes please log in to your Stihl ordering portal to make sure Stihl received the correct purchase order lines and shipping type.
John Deere-Hitachi Integration
When you log in to Flyntlok, will notice some enhancements and upgrades to these services. If you use JD Point, you'll first need to connect your Flyntlok account to JD Point. You can do this from John Deere and Hitachi's vendor dashboard.
Tip
You can also connect to JD Point from the item dashboard and part purchase order page.
Warning
We are still waiting on John Deere to upgrade the JDQuote and JDWarrranty services. We'll notify you as soon as these are upgraded and ready to use!
John Deere-Hitachi Integration Continued
You no longer have to log in to JDPoint after submitting a purchase order from Flyntlok.
First, submit your order to John Deere.
Next, enter the following information and click 'Submit'.
Success
Stock orders default to auto-submit. To turn off auto-submit, un-check the 'auto-submit to John Deere' button.
After submitting the order to JD Point, you will be able to see information like; real-time order statuses, parcel information, and orders that were generated by JD Point.
You used to click a button to display part information from JDPoint, it will now be displayed by default (as long as you’re authenticated to use JDPoint).
Success
Some JD Sunbelt items will also display part information!
Warning
JD’s roll-out of these upgrades is incremental, so there will be a temporary interruption of services: Warranty and PIP information are currently under construction as we work with John Deere to improve those integrations. Additionally, information about shipped parcels attached to parts orders will be temporarily unavailable as we work with John Deere to upgrade that.
