Spring Forward!
While our Boston and Anchorage colleagues were cosplaying as Antarctic explorers and shoveling their way out of their front doors, a small but mighty contingent of the Flyntlok product and engineering team made a calculated escape to Austin, TX for the Gauntlet AI accelerator program. Was it planned? Absolutely. Did we feel guilty? ...We're still workshopping that answer.
What followed was several days of heroic sleep deprivation, record-breaking personal caffeine consumption (we've been asked not to disclose exact figures out of concern for public safety), and enough steak to cause a minor regional beef shortage. Somewhere between the cold brew IV drips and the "is it actually midnight again?" moments, thousands of lines of code were written, debated, rewritten, and ultimately deployed.
The results? We're putting the finishing touches on everything that came out of that week — but let's just say the snow wasn't the only thing piling up. Watch this space! 
Small Features
Show Exchange Rate When Editing Equipment [#37540]
Opportunity
Users editing Model or Machine costs had no visibility into the exchange rate being applied during currency conversion. This created confusion, especially for those using FX overrides when pricing recalculated unexpectedly.
Solution
An Effective FX Rate is now displayed when editing Model or Machine costs, showing the exact rate used for conversion. This provides transparency into pricing recalculations and reduces confusion around overrides.
Display Markdown in Sales Project Quotes Tab [#80619]
Opportunity
On the info tab in the sales project page, users who use markdown on their internal comments are able to see the formatted version of their text when they click the save button. This functionality was not available on the quotes tab.
Solution
We brought this formatted view of markdown text to the quotes tab by displaying a formatted version of the text when a user clicks out of the internal comments input box. Users can continue to edit by clicking back into the text input box.
Resolved Issues
All Sales Orders Contact Information [#37984]
Complaint: Salespeople reported that the All Sales Orders report would not pull any contact information for the Customer on the Sales Order, if their contact was added after the Sales Order was created.
Correction: Fixed. Now, if the Sales Order has no contact specified, this report will fall back to the Customer’s primary contact information instead.
Newly Created Lead Tag [#81812]
Complaint: Customer reported that newly created lead tags were not appearing in the dropdown when creating a subsequent new lead.
Correction: Fixed.
EOD Report Margin Calculation [#81364]
Complaint: Managers noted that some parts margins appeared to be calculated incorrectly on their nightly EOD reports.
Correction: Fixed. The margin calculation now correctly handles for items configured with a purchasing quantity.
Serialized Item Not Saving Customer [#81763]
Complaint: Salespeople mentioned that sometimes, when selling a serialized item and reviewing it on Item Dashboard, the customer name was not recorded as the owner of the serialized item.
Correction: Fixed an issue where the customer was not being recorded as the serialized item owner when fulfilling an item on a Sales Order that had already been processed.
Blank Page After Creating Lead From CRM Campaign [#81856]
Complaint: Sales managers reported that when using CRM Campaigns and creating a Lead from the contact list and clicking on "View Lead", the page would not properly display the newly created lead.
Correction: Fixed.
Limited Downloads on Work Order Dashboard [#82059]
Complaint: Service writers mentioned that when using the "Download All" button on Work Order Dashboard, it did not appear to be downloading every attached file.
Correction: Fixed. This issue was only happening on jobs that had more than 10 attached files. We have also made a minor improvement to prevent accidental double-clicking of this button.
Incorrect labor price on copied invoice [#78926]
Complaint: Customer reported that when copying an invoice, the labor price on the copy did not match the labor price on the original invoice.
Correction: Fixed. We also fixed the issue with labor sub-lines becoming regular lines in copied invoices.
<br> Tags Appearing on Machine Receiving Voucher Page [#80976]
Complaint: Customer reported that whenever options were pulled from the purchase order into the machine receiving voucher page, <br> tags would appear in the long description text.
Correction: Fixed. Now the long description displays the options as a bulleted list.
Item Cost/Price Checkbox on Receiving Voucher Page [#80834]
Complaint: Customer reported that when they would edit the receiving cost on the receive modal then uncheck the update item cost/price checkbox, the checkbox would re-check itself.
Correction: Fixed.
Can’t Add Job With $0 Flat Rate in Mobile View [#81717]
Complaint: Customer reported that they were unable to add jobs to existing work orders in the mobile view when the flat rate is zero. This should match the desktop work order page which does accept a job with a flat rate of zero.
Correction: Fixed.
State Disappears When Editing Customer Address [#81933]
Complaint: Customer reported that when they tried to edit an existing address on the customer dashboard page, the form’s state field would be blank even though the address had a state.
Correction: Fixed.
Consolidating Machines on Sales Order Invoice [#81837]
Complaint: When multiple machines of the same model appear on a sales order invoice, they are currently listed on separate lines. Instead, the invoice should consolidate identical machine models into a single line item with the correct quantity indicated.
Correction: Fixed.
Work Order Status Change on All Jobs Completed [#82942]
Complaint: Shops using our Work Order Job Status feature noted that when marking all jobs complete, the Work Order would move into an "Unknown" status.
Correction: Fixed. The Work Order status will not be automatically changed on all jobs complete when the automation has no status set.
Deleted Machines Unexpectedly Appearing in Search Results [#80878]
Complaint: Users reported seeing deleted Machines in search results when making Journal Entries.
Correction: Fixed.
Enabling Text Messages for Recipients in Puerto Rico [#74645]
Complaint: Users reported that text messages were not being delivered to Puerto Rican numbers.
Correction: Fixed.
Respect Default Labor Type [#82246]
Complaint: Technicians reported that their default Labor Type was not being respected when creating jobs on new Work Orders.
Correction: Fixed.
Respect Item Purchasing Unit [#82492]
Complaint: Users reported that an Item’s purchasing unit was not being respected when making orders from the Suggested Order report.
Correction: Fixed.
